The in-ground MSMF-LOOP sensor is built to withstand extreme environments. It installs cleanly using a compact 127mm core drill hole at a 30mm depth, or sits surface-mounted with the optional LOOP-RMP rubber ramp. Capable of supporting up to 40 tonnes of wheel weight and featuring an IP68 submersible casing, the sensor transmits detection signals up to 50 meters wirelessly to the MRMF-REC multi-channel receiver.

Traditional ground loop installations are labour-intensive, require expensive diamond saw equipment, and eventually fail when pavement settles and snaps subterranean wires. The Motorline MSMF-LOOP & MRMF-REC kit eliminates these pain points by utilizing a wireless magnetometer sensor node that measures disruptions in the Earth’s natural magnetic field created by metallic vehicle mass.

Communicating via a bi-directional 868 MHz RF wireless link up to 50 meters, the sensor communicates directly with the MRMF-REC receiver mounted inside your gate controller. Operating on continuous self-calibration, the system adjusts to temperature fluctuations and minor environmental changes, delivering reliable detection year-round.

Trade Installation & Clearance Tip

Pro Tip: Because the MSMF-LOOP uses magnetometer technology to detect shifting metal masses, installing it too close to moving metal gates or garage doors will cause false trigger cycles.

The Professional Method: Always position the sensor recess at least 1.5 meters away from any moving automated gate leaf, barrier arm, or overhead door. When preparing the 127mm x 30mm hole, clean out all wet slurry and stone dust before applying a non-magnetic cold-pour sealant or epoxy filler to seat the sensor 1mm to 2mm below the driveway surface line.
